Full Description
SCSFP’s next generation transverse planer system, also known as the MC Pro 2400, offers an accurate, low-maintenance and highly-durable moisture measurement platform. System can drop out wet boards for further drying or directly integrate with transverse auto graders to optimize grade recovery. The standard software package marks boards for up to four moisture categories and provides easy reference tools for drying quality control programs. The ProTrac software option provides historical run reporting, kiln mapping and end-to-end integration with other SCSFP moisture systems (in-kiln and sawmill).
Features
- Transverse non-contact measurement for verification of moisture content after drying
- Digital pulse capacitive technology takes multiple readings per board at speeds up to 250 lugs/min
- Laser displacement sensor compensates for board movement and warp
- Optional high-speed temperature sensor adjusts for wood temperatures
- Proprietary background suppression eliminates sensor drift; sensor calibration not required
- Live board monitor reports individual peak and average readings
- Detailed run and shift reports
- Optional paint system for visual marking
- Ethernet, serial and digital I/O output
Benefits
- Industry-leading accuracy from temperature and distance compensation
- Low maintenance and high durability
- Improve grade recovery through direct integration with auto graders
- ProTrac software option provides detailed production reporting, kiln mapping, drying analysis and integration with other SCSFP systems
- SQL database structure allows for open access to historical data
- Drop out wet boards for further drying
- Quick calibration
